Engagement Ring Shopping FAQ

What if I already have a diamond, but no ring?

You are one step ahead in the ring-shopping process! We have many different ring styles that can accommodate diamonds of different sizes. Pick out the perfect ring, and we will set your diamond into it to complete your very special engagement ring.

Do I have to buy the ring setting and the diamond separately?

Not necessarily. We have a selection of rings that are completely set up with center diamonds and everything. However, you also have the option to choose a setting and a loose diamond to have set into your ring. Either route you choose, we have a wide range of options to fit your style and budget.

Can I buy a diamond with a specific carat weight, or color and clarity grading?

Yes, we can offer you diamonds in a wide range of cuts, sizes, and clarity/color grading. Our gemologist, Dean Shallow can work with you to find the perfect diamond to meet your specifications and budget.

I'm buying an engagement ring now, when do I buy the wedding ring?

You have two options: you can buy the wedding ring when you buy the engagement ring, or you can wait until a few months before the wedding. Many of our engagement rings have matching wedding bands and the two can be purchased as a set. Another option is to pick out your own wedding band from our selection of wedding rings. We are also able to order customized wedding bands to fit with any engagement ring. Just remember to give yourself plenty of time--ordering wedding rings can take up to several weeks.

What if the ring doesn't fit her?

The safest route is to have her come in to the store so we can find out what size her finger is. However, if you insist on keeping it a surprise, we can size the ring to fit her finger after you give it to her. We always do the FIRST sizing for free on a ring bought from us. Any additional sizings are done for a fee, so it is best not to guess.
